Great idea for a video. I would really have liked to see both on the PWR129 to see the difference or both on the Hobie. You could do both on both hulls to compare the efficiency in the water. That would be some good data to have

Just remeber as you weld that hear dissipates and other spots get hotter you may need to slow the speed and lower the amperage. You want it to be shiny/reflective when you are welding. Aluminium is hard and theres so much respect for always trying to push yourself dude. Hope everything works out great. Aluminumwelding always looks ugly, your grinder is your best friend. Just make sure you have fun and congrats on the win.

I finally decided to put an HD anchor system on my Old Town Predator PDL kayak. I watched this video a few times and there were some really helpful tips. However, the Old Town Predator PDL kayak has a LOT of curvature to it so it made it difficult to place some of the final parts of the anchor system. The ring doesn’t stay when I have it locked, but I think I can rig it to hold, but I need to get it in the water to tell. Thanks all the same.

Did you ever get your rooftop tent setup working on the diamondback with struts to still open both front and back lids with tent on? My diamond back will be here in 2 weeks now

What is the dry weight of the truck bed tailer without the tent and other stuff on it? I love the idea of making use of stuff that would normally be considered scrap by other folks. As for question on my preference on your setups - I like this tent; but i prefer the other awning from the other video. The other tent just seems like it would be claustrophobic to person like me .... especially if it was storming. The smaller awning would be easier to setup and take down solo; something that is important if you also need to wipe it down due it raining the night before.

Maybe you’re already know this but any grinding attachment you use on aluminum needs to be made for it. You will impregnate the aluminum with abrasives. Also, clean with acetone.

In case you didn't know, you can't use marine lumber in aluminum boats. The chemicals in the wood eats aluminum.

When I made a similar repair on an old boat of mine, I filled, the holes up with bondo then truck bed lined over it all on both sides. Never leaked, but you have a better plan. lol

Maybe try those aluminum brazing rods

I know for welding up holes in sheet steel body panels that usually welders back up the hole with a copper plate as the steel doesn't stick to the copper. Don't know if that works with aluminum.

What is nice about this is if you need to use the bed of your truck for something else and while you are traveling you can stop and rest in the tent ontop.

Have you had issues with it leaking yet or the massive buildup of condensation. My Mattress pad became soaked and covered in mold and the company wouldn’t help. I had to trash the Cover and Mattress. I ended up buying a 4” Heavy Duty Air Mattress.

I love what you've done it's wonderful. But I think there might be a problem, you have apparently not left any spaces for air flow around your power station. My bluetti has Vents on both ends and it cannot be blocked. Not sure about yours you may want to check that out. Great job!
